Producer tries to abuse Nepali model Rachana Lama

It is not the first time that a Nepali model/actress has been tried to be abused by Nepali film makers.There have been many examples where Nepali film makers have or tried to abuse new nepali actresses promising them to make the heroin of their movies. 

Here is another victim of such activity recently been revelaed.Rachana Lama, who is studying at Grade 12, has entered into the Nepali film industry, debuting in Tarang (Wave). Her interest in the sector from childhood led her to the industry. Her beauty and career in the industry have enticed boys, especially of her college. Rachana shares that she is harried by phone calls from the boys. Lama, who can speak about sex without hesitation, has talked to Infonepal about her experiences. 

Rachana who believes in hard work hard says she recently was a victim of sexual advances in exchange for a role. Rachana says her experience working for the film ‘Tarang’ was great. However, a producer for another film offered her a role if she was willing to spend the night with him, following which, she walked out of the project. Even though the memory is still bitter, she says her belief in the industry is still intact. She believes everyone is not alike. Rachana says she will play roles that will suit her. She is not intrested in a particular genre, however she insists the film should not be vulgur. Rachana who wants to work with actor Anmol KC says she did not understand a lot of things in her first film. However, she is believes she has done a decent work and is confident that the audience will like and appreciate her work.

My Promise defers release date again, to hit screen on Poush 18

The film ‘My Promise,’ directed by Suraj Subba Nalbo, that started publicity announcing to hit screen from Poush 11, has changed its release date yet again.According to new date finalized, the film will be released on Poush 18. Producer and actor Ramesh Chandra Rai said that they deferred the release date to a ‘compulsory situation’.

Earlier, the film was slated to release on Mangsir 5. However, it was postponed as the two films of Keki Adhikari and Wilson BirkamRai were also scheduled to hit screen on the same date. Likewise, the film’s release was put off again on Poush 11 as distributors said that the movie will get enough halls as other movies will be already running. This time, however, Ramesh is not in favor of postponing the film’s release date again.

He further reveledthat the release was postponed time and again due to disputes between producers of the film. The film under the banner of TRNG Production is directed by acclaimed director Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ Keki Adhikari, Nar Kumar Limbu, Wilson BikramRai, AnuragKunwar, Matin Khan among others has acted in the film. The movie that tell a real story of Gurkha army, has received PG certificate from censor board.

Hey Namrata… Sizzling Moves at Ramailo Mela | Photo Feature

Kathmandu, Four youths, who attempt to make a film, end up in acting with famous actress Namrata Shrestha.

This story is not of real life but, of reel life. Film ‘Adhkatti’ has such story. The shooting of one of the song included in the film was shot at Ramilo Mela, Bhirkuti Mandap, Kathmandu. The song title is -‘Kya Kamaal, Babal Chhau Timi, Hey Namrata…. Actress Narmata has played role of an actress in the movie.

Gaurab Pahari, Pradip Bastola, Gajit Bista, Wilson Bikram Rai are in lead roles in the song. Namrata has danced with these four artists in the song.

The film produced by Pradip Uday and directed by Subrat Acharya. It is first film for Subrat which is a known name in media sector.

Upcoming Nepali Film MOKSHYA 2014

There are quite a number of releases for the upcoming year and MOKSHYA happens to be one of them. The upcoming Nepali film by Prabeen Shrestha revolves around music and follows few lead characters and their journey to come to terms with a defining moment in their lives. The movie which is based on a true story will be in cinemas on 7th February 2014. The makers have recently shared a song and a teaser of MOKSHYA. Sagun Shahi- Hot and Sexy New Nepali Model and Actress 2013-2014 | Photo Feature

A beautiful model Sagun Shahi was taking dance training in Surkhet when she was selected to be featured in the movie ‘Dhuwani’ during the audition held there. The director Pitembar Pandey is credited for giving her a break in his movie ‘Dhuwani’ last year.

Sagun hadn’t expected she would get a leading role in a movie so fast. After the completion of the movie, Sagun expected to get roles in other movies and moved to Kathmandu. But, Sagun’s debut movie ‘Dhuwani’ flopped and she couldn’t get roles in other movies.

When she couldn’t get any opportunities in movies she it wasn’t easy to cover the cost of living in Kathmandu. It was tough to cover the cost of living in the costly city. She also started dancing in lok-dohori to cover the cost. The profession paid enough to pay the rent and other costs. Apart from dancing she is also featured in numerous music videos.

These days, Sagun is also featured in a television serial ‘Bhadragol’. She however is still waiting for another opportunity to be featured in a movie.
